This is a perfect example of academia vs practitioner. Theories always sound so good in the class room. Is there any more of a reason why newly graduated attorneys do not start out as partners?

The old axiom is true: “Those who can, do. Those who can’t, teach.” In other words we have complete losers teaching our children. That is a generalization, of course, and like all generalizations there are exceptions. However, raising four kids in the American public education system taught me that the exceptions are rare.
